With all the hot air (uselessly) expended on Iowa by the (so called) candidates and the media, it's a wonder the snow and cold aren't long gone and that the corn isn't knee-high by now.
I miss Vermont. It was nice to call a state office and have someone pick up the phone, often the head of whatever department it was. I knew someone who ran into the governor hiking, and another met him when he stopped at their house to ask directions. Seems so quaint now that he blew it with a scream, seemed silly to me at the time, too.
I found it interesting that the media called the state for Trump very early, well before voting finished. The media calls states early for the candidate they want to win. Look at every Presidential election. They will call New York immediately for the Democrat, and will drag their feet calling red states until the last possible minute. It is a tactic to demoralize the opposition. So they want Trump to get the R nomination. Seems to me they should be pushing Nikki Haley, but I guess not.
The media's handwringing about Trump being a threat to democracy is clearly just an act. They must be so confident in the left's lawfare strategy that they think Trump cannot win.
I guess the presidential race is nothing more than pro wrestling at this point.
I’d say the Georgia trial / Fani Willis stuff is the worst case scenario. if the allegations are true (and currently that’s what the signs point to) it’s an enormous win for the Trump campaign.
It seems fucked, but why does it actually matter if two of the prosecutors were porking? The ethical risk there is that he was unjustly hired for his dickgame and isn’t competent, right? I’ve been very confused how it logically hurts the case beyond the “oh the prosecutors play hide the sausage and that’s not right” which is irrelevant to the crime at hand. Like, could they be disbarred or something over it?
Maybe it’s just my ignorance here, but what’s the cause for a mistrial with that? It’s not something like sleeping with opposing council or a witness where there’s conflict of interest? I believe you I just super don’t get like, legally the why.

I probably didn't hate reading this as much as you hated writing it, but I bet it was close.

First, it could easily mean a mistrial. Second, it’s a PR win for Trump either way.

And absolutely yes a big PR win
