Should I be commenting? Not to get all philosophical, but is commenting still a thing we do...?

Hey! Very glad to see you over here - I was hoping people who used to read me at the Post would be able to find me. I figure that I-270 guy is probably also in my list somewhere.

And, yes, I really hope people will comment! Though this newsletter is brand new and my subscriber list is small (but growing!). So the conversation might be a little sparse until we reach critical mass. If readers who like the crap that I write spread the word that I'm over here, we'll reach that point sooner rather than later.

Anyway, I believe you were about to tell me that my player ratings are garbage...

Sorry I'm late. I was hit by a water bottle and had to wiggle my head.

You're immediate reply reeks of desperation, while my immediate reply to you makes me look informed and sophisticated. Those are the rules of comment sections; I don't make them, I just twist them as needed. Admittedly these rules were written before Twitter made comment sections look quaint.

Yes, you're ratings are awful. You should be using two decimal places in the future.

I'm certain I-270 is just stuck in traffic...

I have to agree that your ratings are awful. You completely left out Player/Manager Greggggg Berhalter. He excelled at throw ins and dark arts sideline tackles, but was completely invisible in front of goal. 4.5

It was really a classic Berhalter tackle: Precise and effective, but YOU have to come to HIM. If you were thinking he might catch you with his electric pace...yeah that's not in the cards.

Tackle aside, I'd probably give Berhalter a 3.5. Have we EVER seen a 3-4-3 under him? We're in a final, and suddenly we see it for the first time. It also seemed strange to resurrect Yedlin and Ream after having them out of the team for so long; I assume the idea was to have a few players at least old enough to shave but neither had a good game.

He gets the .5 for managing better then Mexico head coach and noted referee masseuse Tata Martino.
