I started the story a skeptic but was won over. This was a really well-done and clever fable, and I was happy to see your sense of humor too!

Yes! We need more wisdom stories for our insane times! Stories go deeper than explanations. And... please continue the comedy! I know I'm really enjoying something when I'm alone in my home laughing out loud (even while my assumptions are being challenged).

This was unusual, funny, and had a serious message I wish more people - especially more of the manly men I know - could comprehend.

I'm not entirely sure I understand the ending. Did he want to see by himself who the terrifying people were to understand why the trial existed?

The message I got out of it was that if you question the rules while still playing the game, you'll be treated with scorn and contempt. If you decide to quit playing the game and do your own thing, you'll be treated with fear and suspicion, but at least you'll be left alone
