I think you're pulling a bit of a motte and bailey though. I think the leftist's concern is that certain minorities are under-represented in college, home-ownership, high-wage jobs, and other societal markers of success. But your response to that seems to shift the focus.
No one is asking that we let the hobo work at the air traffic tower or that we force people to get operated on by 11-yr old immigrants. It's just pointing out that this 'meritocratic' system is really helping some people at the expense of others, so maybe it's kind of a crappy system.
I know you've said in other episodes that minorities and women in the comedy industry tend to be lower quality hires, but do you have any solution apart from 'just barely hire anyone who's not white or Jewish?'
