I'll have you know that I am very classy, not at all sexually frustrated, and surrounded by chinchillas not ferrets.

Man. Jennifer Rubins fall from milquetoast competent to braindead partisan hack has been a long and dispiriting one. Every time you think she’s hit rock bottom, she shows you she’s still got plenty of room to go. It’s something.

Was she ever competent though?

I remember her 2000s rhetoric being 100% braindead partizan cheerleading for Bush/Cheney. Then during the Obama years she desperately tried to salvage Neoconservative dignity while struggling to accept that everyone on both sides were done with the Neocons. Then Trump broke her. Completely.

"More competent" I should have said. I only read her sparingly in the pre-Trump days. She's always been a follower; her whole schtick is just regurgitating whatever the bien-pensant chattering class now holds as gospel. She just used to be better at it.

Happy I guess to have no idea who she is. Small pleasures?

Another example of Tip 1 is when politicians compare the Israel/Gaza border to the US/Mexico border:

Everybody on Twitter who was an expert on epidemiology, immigration policy, and AI is now an expert on the Israeli - Palestinian conflict.

"Of course, pretending that the fringy-est freak you can find represents the beating heart of your political opposition"

Jonah Goldberg refers to this as "nut picking" and I like that word.

Yeah my microsoft start page has a bunch of nothing rags too. Overall I liked the article, even if I actually agree with the statements the Squad members put out because I’m just someone who’s got an anti-Israel bias admittedly, but one criticism I’d make is the framing device sort of peters out halfway thru. I feel like you either couldve wrote a more serious article or used the disclaimer to go fully into satire. Content wise I liked your points, you cited everything well, I can disagree but see youre coming from a factual area, but structurally is where the only negatives come from. Had a chuckle had the remark about Trump being famously thoughtful as a commentator, I liked how you didnt draw attention to the joke and I had to catch it on a reread

Funny on the point of blaming Biden the Telegraph was making a similar point but was a bit more nuanced. Essentially citing all the other ways Trump was a bit of a Zionist. However this is a weird pissing contest the US has, because Jewish people are largely supportive of Israel so neither party would ever not support Israel fully. Theyre not going to shit on Jewish voters for something thats just inherent to their beliefs

I've been reading nothing but stuff that makes me want to jump into a black hole and escape the hellscape that is The World in 2023, but you've managed to bring some levity to a horrific time. Well done, sir.
