The picture above came up when I typed “mailman” into a stock photo site. Because what says “mailman” more than a guy in a bright red t-shirt with “DELIVERY” written on it? When I was a young boy in the early 1900s, we used to sit on the porch and wait for the guy with the red “DELIVERY” shirt to come down the street!
Anyway: It’s time for the Second Annual I Might Be Wrong mailbag! If you’re wondering “Why is it the annual mailbag when the first one was in October?”, the answer is because “second annual” just sounds right. And that question is now taken: Nobody ask that one.
But please post any other question in the comments section. I will then dick around until Thursday evening, at which point I’ll think “Oh shit — the mailbag!” and toss off some quick answers for Friday morning. If you don’t want your question to be public, then replying to this e-mail will send the question straight to me. If I use the question, I’ll protect your anonymity, like this:

After you wrote your piece on the Jon Stewart episode about Trans issues, John Oliver chimed in with *his* episode on the same topic.
I have been searching high and low for your reaction to the John Oliver piece, so now I’m going to have to ask: What did you think? Was it equally as vapid as the Stewart episode? How does an episode like that get made, when just at that moment places like the New York Times are finally starting to treat Trans activists claims with even a tiny bit of skepticism? If current Jeff Maurer was in the writing room, would you even raise the points you did on the Stewart episode, and if you did, how would you do it? Would any objections be regarded with good faith?
